I Love Botanika and Theme Travelers

Every once in a while, I get the urge to just share a little about the people I work with in the industry. Over the last few weeks, I have had some great meetings with two women that I just REALLY enjoy. Melissa White, owner of Botanika, and Tina Sturchio, owner of Theme Travelers. We are all working on a wedding together this upcoming weekend. Botanika (Melissa) will be doing all the floral and Theme Travelers (Tina) will be providing the most amazing chandeliers to be hung in the ballroom. If you want to see what happens when these amazing women go to work, check out our blog after Easter weekend, we should have pictures posted by Tuesday.

An Unforgettable Evening

Last night my husband and I, along with our dear friends Laura and Daine Hart, had the pleasure of attending the JW Marriott Grand Opening, benefiting The Fisher House http://www.fisherhouse.org/ and the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund http://fallenheroesfund.org/Home.aspx. (No, we didn't have access to complimentary tickets, however knowing the cost of the tickets we purchased for this event went to benefit these two AMAZING organizations, I can tell you I would pay double to do it all over again tonight.) Kenneth Fisher and Bill White spoke about their organizations and how they help our wounded and fallen heroes, and I encourage everyone to check out their websites. Just truly amazing organizations that are bettering the lives of our wounded heroes and the families of the fallen. It was an inspirational evening. My husband, Bryan, was beyond thrilled to speak and shake hands with General Myers, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (The US military's highest ranking member). We have followed General Myers for years, from his service to our country to watching him on FOX NEWs, and it will be a memory that will last a lifetime, to have spoken with him and his beautiful wife. Okay, so ya, there was also some legendary entertainment! Can you say KENNY ROGERS, WYNONNA JUDD, and JOHN RICH!!! Totally once in a lifetime.

Angie Pena Came to town!

Finally, I had the chance to spend some time (though never enough!) with Angie Pena. LOVE HER! We started with a makeup trial with Yvette at our office. Yvette is beyond talented and made already beautiful Angie shine! From there we went shopping for jewlery for the girls and shirts and ties for the men-We found great items at Neimans and Nordstrom Rack! The following day we did a hair trial with Sandy, who capturedthe exact look Angie was hoping for. What a fun couple of days!

MISS LIVE OAK COUNTY

This past week I had the opportunity to be one of three judges at the Miss Live Oak County pageant. One of my favorite "Mother's of The Bride", Jamye Royal(Yes, that is the correct spelling!)runs and produces the pageant. We had a great time watching Jamye and Taylor run the show! All the girls were beautiful and I wish they all could have won,but I couldnt be happier that the other two judges agreed with me on who Miss Live Oak Couty 2010 should be! Congratulations Darcy Orsak!

Statue Of Design

This week we had a floral mock up for Audrie and Troy's April 9th wedding. David, at Staute of Design, did a fantastic job helping them envision the flowers for their wedding day.

Three weddings...

Started off the day meeting with Tracy, Jose, Daisy, and their new pup (Leo). We went over some of the wedding details...linens, tasting appointments, floral mock-up, meeting with Pastor John, invitations, etc. Looks like everything is on track and just around the corner. I can't wait to see what the St. Anthony does for their tasting.

Taylor, Cameron and mom Jamye came in to go over tent quotes, and have a fashion show with Men's Warehouse. Cameron did a great job of picking out a great tux for his groomsman. He also modeled a chocolate brown suit for us and let us help him coordinate matching shirts and ties.

Theresa and me met up at Seeds of Love to go over flowers with Eloise. She had samples pulled with her color scheme. We went over what she wanted for the Little Flower ballistica church, reception (Weston), bridal party floral. Seeds of Love was decked out for the Easter holiday and sells wonderful specialty gifts to get for a special someone. Stop by... if you are ever in the 281 and Bitters area (next door to Party City/El Jarro) and check their super cute shop out.
